Arctic Advisory Associates

Arctic Advisory Associates (AAA) was created in 2024, although its Founder and its commercial origins date back to 2010. The company specialises in the Arctic regions, the growing link between the Poles and the Space domain, and the Technologies that link Space with the Poles. In addition, Arctic Advisory Associates brings to the arena consultancy services, research capabilities, investment experience, and commercial opportunities with AAA including Associateships and Partnerships. Arctic Advisory Associates offices are located in UK and Norway.

The Arctic’s growing global importance is reflected by the USG’s recent classification of it as one of the World’s three most critical geopolitical regions in the 21st Century. It is in international relations’ terms: The home of a new Sea Line Of Communication (the Northern Sea Route) linking northern Eurasia; the epicentre of a physical state change in the Earth (climate); and the nexus where nuclear-armed U.S., Russia, and China converge – as well as in Space above the Arctic.

We Provide

AAA offers consultancy, research, and introductory/networking services to those considering entering, or recently operating in the Poles and the Poles-Space domain. Emphasis is centred around the Eurasian Arctic, which offers commercial opportunities (including applications of Arctic/Space and Marine technologies), as well as environmental and governance challenges.

As success in the Poles and Space is closely linked with management of risk, Arctic Advisory Associates provides appropriate specialised advice (insurance, regulation, etc), and the knowledge (e.g. The Outer Space Treaty) needed, to operate in such climatically hostile and frontier regions, and domain.

Accordingly, all work undertaken by Arctic Advisory Associates is executed within a strictly commercial, regulatory, and environmentally protective and sustainably developed framework, as consistently promoted for instance by the Arctic Council, the Antarctic Treaty, and (various) international Space Acts.

Network and Partners

AAA’s research capability is based on established relations and partnerships with the leading European, N. American, Russian, and Asian academic centres of Arctic and Space-related excellence; this ensures access to data, coverage of the latest science and research findings and advice from a global network of Astro-Arctic experts.

This linkage also provides policy-informing research and analysis across key disciplines of crucial importance to the strategic/policy, commercial, and NGO communities in the Astro-Arctic domains. Particular relevant expertise is coordinated and synthesised by Arctic Advisory Associates around science and technology, climate and environment, governance and legislation, and local communities and security.

In addition, Arctic Advisory Associates offers through its Associate programme selective commercial services in the Astro-Poles, including for example: scenario planning; Environmental Protection Assessments; legal and risk management advice; technical innovation and R&D research, and geopolitical consultancy.

The services offered by AAA and through its Associates, are directly relevant to the client’s decision-making process. AAA’s advisory boards, workshops, conferences, research facilities, and information data bases, are all available to clients and are especially useful for newcomers to the Astro-Polar community.

Further Astro-Arctic expertise in Arctic Advisory Associates is provided by its established network of diverse business, legal, political, and economic leaders and experts resident in the regions; many of whom are responsible for research, investment governance and financial-operational oversight in the Arctic and Space regions/domain.

AAA’s Role: A Gateway and Partnership in the Astro-Arctic Spaces

Both the Arctic region and Space are inherently hostile environments. Arctic Advisory Associates recognizes this and adopts an overall risk management approach to operating in these rapidly emerging regions and domain. Therefore research, critical planning, and mitigation strategies (the e.g. “Precautionary Principal in the Arctic especially) comprise the framework within which PCG offers services to its clients. In addition, the creation of in-country AAA Associate networks, offers real-time response and immediate subject expertise and advice to our clients.

All of the above necessitates a longer-term view of the Arctic region and the Astro-Arctic commercial aspect of AAA’s relations with clients. This in turns demands a research-led and partnered approach to the unique challenges of these terrestrial and non-terrestrial opportunities. Thus, the Arctic Advisory Associates emphasis is on its embedded regional/domain institutional research relationships, networking facilitation for its clients, ongoing consultancy advice, and possible, subsequent commercial partnerships, regarding mutual investment opportunities.
